AN INTENTIONAL VISION
Girls Like Me Project (GLMP) exists to boldly reimagine what’s possible for Black girls. Centering their mental, physical, and emotional well-being in every space we create. We are more than a program; we are a movement rooted in healing, liberation, and limitless potential.
Through transformative experiences, mentorship, and holistic support, we equip Black girls with the tools to thrive; mind, body, and spirit. GLMPI equips youth with media literacy, storytelling, and advocacy skills to author their own narratives and thrive as leaders. These programs foster a sense of community, connecting the girls with each other and with their mentors.
When Black girls are seen, supported, and celebrated, they don’t just succeed - they lead, innovate, and transform their communities.

Every girl deserves a space where she is seen, heard, and empowered to become her best self. Girls Like Me Project was created with that purpose in mind, a place where girls don’t just participate, they grow, lead, and thrive.
Global Exposure – girls are introduced to a variety of media and digital technology programs and culture.
Self-Awareness – a conscious knowledge of authentic character, voice and feelings is developed through thoughtful programming
Community Engagement – Girls gain a desire to build, grow, and connect with each other and community through workshops, mentoring, and girl circles.
